this term

This term we have been learning about poems like tanka, cinquain, haiku and all the other sorts of poems. I’ve been learning how to weave a kete and  a flower and how to plat. At genius hour i learnt that working with clay is harder than i thought. Because if you put too much water it gets all soggy and if you put less water it gets hard you have to be very careful of the amount of water you put. Today it is the art exhibition and am so excited.

math

I was so nervous about doing the math test because we only got two minute’s two do each line. The whole test was ten minute’s i thought in my head “this is going to be really hard” 3 2 1

start…. at first i said “come on hurry up zoe” i was ahead of all the rest that was untill division came along. OH KNOW i’m running out of time finished i just realized that mixed was up stop she said now It’s time for the mixed math 321 go…. It was checked the math time  i only got 2 wrong out of the hundred.

Oh i can’t wait to get my hands on that english boy. I’ll have him for dessert. That boy stinks like a cow dead he better be careful. At least i have my golden goose and my golden harp. Oh that thief he stole my golden goose if he comes back I’ll make him as small as a egg I’ll make him wish he never heard of an egg. I’ve got the best idea ever the boy is back i can’t wait to rip him into smithereens. WHO GRABBED MY GOLDEN HARP!!!!!!! There you are you little rascal but i was too late jack is too fast         

Des-Hunt

I was so excited to meet Des-Hunt he writes amazing stories my favorite book is frog whistle mine. He told us about his backstory and where he came from. He told us that the last  tuatara  got rejected 7 times and on the 8th time he got a lovely letter because he new what was wrong with the book. He was not only an illustrator but he was a teacher to. Do you know what he teached? He teached SCIENCE!...it was very nice to meet Des-hunt.

volcano eruption

Crash bang boom “a volcano eruption” cried a man. Rocks started bursting out of the volcano like an asteroid. Lava started falling down the volcano like a waterfall. Lightning started appearing out of the sky everything started shaking i started thinking “ is this really the end of my life.

CROSS-COUNTRY!

BANG! Went the block I started running around the field. The boy’s that were running with  all the girl’s just kept talking at first they were just saying “you can do it’’  I was thinking  in my head come on zoe you  can do this then i thought I  can’t do this. Then the hills came along I was running up the hill I could feel the sweat dripping down my face I was so tired. I kept on say to myself “only one more lap to go’’so many things were rushing in my head. I just wanted this to be over. Finally it was over then the bell rang “rinnnnnng rinnnnng’’yes it was lunch time.

the squares. It took me a while before i was finished it with pencil then i traced over it with a felt. Then i was finished i was very proud of my work.    

the naughty fairy

Once upon a time there lived a fairy called Turi-turi, and he was very naughty. The little fairy wanted to catch the biggest moke, but the wind came and told him Turi-turi don’t go out and catch a moke, Turi-turi said nah why should I. But the wind said be careful Turi- turi, And the wind went away. Turi -turri said now what do I need to catch my moke, he said ahh, I know what I need. I need flax, so he went out to find some flax, he found some and it was so big and long net he tried to look for a hook he looked and looked then he swam down to the bottom of the deep blue sea and found a muscle he cracked it open he looked at the muscle then the flesh, then at the…. Flesh, then he carved the shell of the muscle  once he was done that he looked for bait,he looked and looked and finally he found the most biggest crayfish he had ever seen,but he still had to find a pebble, and then he found 3 pebbles, and then he said… him this pebble isn't right and then he looked at the other pebble and said this pebble isn’t right it's to sharp and then he looked at the last pebble and said this is just right. And then he jumped into his boat and paddled to the fishing grounds and it took him 3 days and he was only half way then after another 3 days he was finally there but there was something wrong there were no moke, turituri said to himself Since I am a magical fairy I can use my magical chant to make the moke come so he grabbed his guitar and he started singing and when he finished his chant the moke came, but there was another problem they were only medium sized but there was no big moke, and then he looked around and then saw the most biggest moke he had ever seen so he swung his tokotokohi and the water was so clear that Turi-turi could see his crayfish sink down to the bottom of the sea, the wind came and said Turi-turi don’t bang the moke with a stick, but Turi-turi said nah, go away, Turi-turi don’t eat the moke roar, nah go away! Turi-turi be kia tupato and the wind went away but he wasn't paying any attention that he didn’t see the water was bubbling and then suddenly... the big taniwha arose from the deep blue sea then the fairy said please taniwha please don’t hurt me please, Turi-turi I have been sent to get you so the taniwha opened his mouth and took him to the deepest darkest jail and Turi-turi got thrown into the jail and his boat, well the boat they say if you go to that exact some beach you can still see Turi-turi boat swaying side to side.

Imagine a underwater olympics in a park  there's trampolines and slides but first they have to go down the slide and on the bars. But wait where is everybody have they left without me? So i went down the slide , on the bars, up the wall,and there still not there so i went back, to the start and finally they were there.

This Term

I had the best term ever!!! I had so much fun doing netball i learned lots of things like how to pivot how to get in front of people and at school I learnt how to make lots of friends and I learnt more about division and subtraction at parts it got a bit complicating and then I started to get it we learnt about pointillism and about bamboo I can't wait tell next year when it’s next term so I can learn more things I can't wait to come back to school.

The  Flying  hair dryer

 I’ve made the coolest thing ever and it can help people a lot it can fly it dry your hair it comes in different collars I call it the flying hair dryer and guess what when you want to turn it on you turn the key left and if you want to turn the flying hair dryer of you turn the key right so that it can turn of. Now if you were wondering how it can fly well you’ll see a little that is heatproof that means the heat won't burn the pillow so the pillow rest on your shoulder and inside the pillow it has a magnet inside of it that connect to the flying hair dryer then you turn the key into the middle and  then the hair dryer lifts it into the air and there you have it the flying hair dryer I love to do things at night.

Bang! Went the drums the drum sticks went faster and faster I kept smiling when the drums would go up and down. The instructor told us that we had to put the sticks down most of us did but some people didn’t listen then the instructor told us to pick the sticks up and he told us a rhythm it was what's the time bro i don't no then he taught us a stick trick and then we had to go i thought it was very fun.
